01 — Overview
Digiliance is a SaaS platform providing labour law compliance solutions for businesses and HR organisations across India. The company came to me to build and scale organic search visibility in an increasingly complex and regulated space, targeting competitive terms like "new labour law codes" and "labour law compliance software".
The objective was clear: transform organic search into a reliable channel for high-ticket enterprise qualified leads, while establishing authority in AI-generated answer engines.

02 — The Problem
Labour law compliance is driven by urgent legal mandates, regulatory updates, and software evaluation. Previous content had generated generic views without capturing decision-makers who needed immediate enterprise compliance software.
Meanwhile, the queries that signalled buying intent — such as specific labour code updates, implementation rules, and compliance software comparisons — were underserved. As I argue in rankings are not the goal, the metric that counts is whether organic traffic delivers qualified pipeline.
03 — Initial Analysis
I started by mapping the entire labour law compliance search ecosystem, classifying high-intent queries into core compliance modules, statutory updates, and software evaluation patterns.
Crucially, with the emergence of AI answer engines (ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, Perplexity), compliance officers and enterprise leaders were increasingly turning to conversational search to interpret legal codes. Establishing clear, extractable entity structure and unambiguous topical authority was paramount.
04 — SEO Strategy
The strategy followed my SaaS SEO framework: capture bottom-of-funnel intent first, structure content around compliance workflows, and build topic clusters with verifiable authority.
- Map regulatory demand
- Structure bottom-of-funnel pages
- Optimize for AI answer engines
- Attribute leads directly
- Compound authority
05 — Implementation
Working alongside Yogesh Pant and the Digiliance team, we executed targeted pages designed for enterprise buyers:
Bottom-of-funnel architecture
Built dedicated solution pages addressing specific compliance obligations and enterprise software capabilities.
Competitive keyword targeting
Structured in-depth resources around competitive terms including "new labour law codes" and "labour law compliance software".
AI search and answer engine optimization
Engineered extractable data summaries, FAQs, and clear schema to earn citations in AI-generated answers.
Lead capture optimization
Streamlined high-intent conversion paths for enterprise demos and consultation requests.
06 — Results
Verified outcomes achieved for Digiliance:
Bottom-of-funnel pages typically have low volume and high value, so total clicks may barely move even when the channel is transformed. In my experience, high-intent qualified leads are what justify the work, compounding steadily as target pages earn rankings.
07 — What Didn't Work
The first batch of use-case pages was written from the inside out, describing technical feature sets rather than the compliance officer's direct workflow. They converted below expectations until rewritten after interviews with HR and legal heads.
One resource page targeted a keyword whose query intent was too broad, attracting students rather than corporate compliance officers. That page was repositioned with clearer B2B intent.
I also pushed for pruning more of the blog than the team was comfortable with. We compromised on a smaller list, and in hindsight some of the retained articles still dilute the site. That is an ongoing conversation.
08 — Lessons
Measure the thing you actually want. Once trials were attributed at the page level, the strategy conversation changed from "traffic is up" to "which pages bring customers," and that question answers itself.
The people who know the customer best are inside the company. My job was to shape the structure and intent; the product marketer's job was to make the pages true. Neither works without the other.
Bottom-of-funnel coverage comes first, and it does not take long to exhaust. Once it is done, top-of-funnel content has somewhere to send readers, and that is when it starts to earn its place.
09 — Key Takeaways
Attribute before you build
Page-level trial tracking is the foundation. Without it, every argument is about sessions.
Cover the bottom of the funnel completely
Comparison, alternative, use-case and integration pages, all of them, before more blog posts.
Honesty converts
Comparison pages that tell the truth about competitors earn trust at the decision point.
Use the blog as a feeder
Existing informational content is an internal-linking asset for commercial pages, not a channel on its own.
